Finding the right size matters especially for personalised pieces – after all, you can't simply exchange a pair of dungarees embroidered with a name. That's why you won't find a generic industry-standard size chart here, but the real measurements taken from our own patterns – measured on the actual pieces you order from us.

How to measure correctly for dungarees
- Length incl. cuffs: from the shoulder to the bottom edge of the leg cuff (measured with the dungarees laid flat)
- Width shoulder to shoulder: the width of the dungarees from one shoulder to the other, measured flat
- Strap length: from the top of the bib to the fastening on the back
It's best to compare these measurements with a similar, well-fitting garment your child already owns – that's the safest way to choose.

The best way to measure head circumference is with a tape measure, just above the ears and across the forehead – this gives the most reliable value for the right hat size.

As a rough guide: which size suits which age?
Since every child grows differently, these are only approximate guidelines – the measurements above are the more reliable source:
- Size 44–56: newborn to approx. 3 months
- Size 62–68: approx. 3–9 months
- Size 74–80: approx. 9–18 months
- Size 86–92: approx. 1.5–2.5 years
- Size 98–104: approx. 3–4 years
- Size 110: approx. 4–5 years
Between two sizes?
Our patterns are designed to run slightly large, and any cuffs are always designed to be folded over. If your child is between two sizes, we'd still recommend choosing the next size up – that way the piece grows with them for longer. If you're unsure, feel free to get in touch – we're happy to advise you personally.
